Thank you
I'm working on uploading everything as we speak. I'd say in the next couple hours I should have it ready. Sorry to everyone for slow reply on emails and PM's - existing clients are my first priority. I promise I will get to each and every one of them in the new few days.

Did I read that correctly? A stock M3 will make 375+ WHP? That seems high.

Personally I've seen them make 305-350 stock, and this was my first time on a dyno that removed the rear wheels.

Just for reference and comparison purposes to Dynojet results, the Dyno Database
http://www.s65dynos.com/ shows 343 rwhp SAE as the best stock 91 octane Dynojet dyno, with a range of 312 to 343 for about a dozen cars. The Dyno Database also shows Dynapack results, so these Dynapack dynos can also be compared among Dynapack results. However, Dynapack has different modes in which the results can be reported, so they have to be matched up correctly. Assuming the mode for these results is the same mode as the "SAE" result in the Dyno Database (rather than "SAE-adapt"), these Dynapack results do pretty well, with the tuned result setting a new Dynapack record for naturally aspirated stock block. A stock 91 octane M3, however, did only 318 rwhp on a Dynapack. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of SAE results to compare. |

Just got my car updated to the most current software which went from E89X-11-03-502 to E89X-12-07-507. Don't really notice a difference. Might be that I don't drive the car enough. Is there anyway for me to verify that the dealer indeed updated my software? Not saying they didn't but would like to have a peace in mind that they did other than what it says on the service order.

i have an 6MT '08 E93 M3 with no software updates, and am curious about the 231E/240E software update & tuning.
do we have an 231E/240E updated stock M3 (preferably E93 and 6MT) in the OC area I could ride with to compare with my car? |

Upgraded today from 10/12/502 to 12/7/507 . They gave me 4 page print out of all the changes and the new integration level. The first thing I noticed was the tightening up of the steering and suspension is noticeably firmer. Drove it in bumper to bumper traffic and took it to redline on empty highway.
Cost was 1hr of labor plus tax. $180 out the door 2013 cars don't need this. Older cars it's a must have Low end torque and midrange noticeably improved. 5k+ is stronger. Redline is nuts. SA and shop foreman were excited to do it and wanted feedback. Bang for the buck an excellent return on your investment. For the price of a few trips to the pump. |

Finally got updated today.... E89X-11-09-503 (old) ------- E89X-12-07-507 (new). The only differences noted so far are stiffer steering and suspension. The dealership only charged $149.
All went well except for satellite radio, for some strange reason it's missing. Going back tomorrow to get it fixed. Sat radio has been fixed with some remote coding. Last edited by skypx; 10-12-2012 at 04:31 PM.. Reason: update |

My dealer charged me and hour and a half ($170) of labor. I told them that I wanted the whole car reprogrammed. They have to reprogram everything and not JUST the DME itself.

Some versions include more updates to modules than others.

my dealer charged an hour of labor.i just asked for a software update, they will give you the latest version.you'll know what you have when they plug your car into their computer.mine showed no updates from the original software,so it was an easy decision to to do it.

Good to know, thanks! I got mine updated in September. I wonder if it got the 240E software. I guess I would have to do some more digging.

I really wanted to read all.... 2x pages but its a lot!!! lol Mind pointing me to the right direction of what I should do??
I have a Speed Shop close by that does things to M3's. U think I can ask them if they can update my M3's Software??? Or have to go straight to dealer? And what would I need to tell dealer besides "Can you update my software" |
