Man, I was SO close to picking up a NEW Schwinn Blue Falcon Brian Foster Edition a while ago from Circa 2000. I regret not buying it. I just wanted to hang it on my wall, that was by far my favorite bike growing up.

Oh love the bikes, remember those days very fondly.
So much so that I also went and built my childhood dream bike. Hard to get bits for these down under, so most came from your area, Frame and Fork I found in Arizona of all places. Love the GT.!! And the E30 is gorgeous. Man of taste indeed. Here's mine since you showed me yours |

Nice rides, I wish I had kept my redline. I remember when the 3 piece crank were the drivetrain of choice. Loved my redline 401 flight crank set

Morning and thanx!!
The angel eyes are Lux Bought em from zack392m!! The e30 M3 has been in my hands since 2006!! The bikes are cooler...yes. I agree!! I got hooked in 2010 while living in Atlanta... my neighbor was riding around the neighborhood on a purple 87 GT performer with white mags and wheels... Childhood memories overcame me and and i ran out the house and stalked down Nick.....and had to ask where he got it from. His brother snagged it on craigslist in Nashville. But he also told me to check out.......... www.bmxmuseum.com My bmx era is from 85/86 - 87/89 (I turned 16 in 89 i think....CAR!!) Hell....I had no clue what a GT, Goose, JMC etc was in the early 80's...but I do enjoy the early 80's (81-85) BMX bikes. 70's bmx was before my time. I respect it but have no emotional attachment to this era. The rest is history... There are some big time BMX collectors out there... Big $$$. But it is fun.....and allows you to spend decent time with your kids (building, selling, sourcing parts etc). What kid does not like to ride bikes?? For the guys who are into 70 - 80's (old school) bmx or 90's to present (mid school and new school) bmx.....check out the website. www.bmxmuseum.com (can I list other hobby websites here? ) I must warn you though....it is highly addictive. |

I have like 16 bikes I have an 84 Goose Cali, 88 Mango RL20II (show bike), 85/86 Schwinn Predator Black Shadow and a 81 Candy Red Sting (another show bike)....plus many others (hutch, free agent, auburn, gt, dyno, jmc, general, etc). I will probably liquidate a few over the next couple of years and only keep what i have an emotional attachment to. Maybe get the bike collection down to 3-4 at most. More manageable... I know guys that have 25- 250 bikes!! Some dudes have spent 6 figures on this hobby. A few of them have spent $200k - $1million on rare, NOS bmx bikes. That is waaaaaaayy out of my league though.. I know one guy who has $25k is rare NOS BMX tires. Tires!! Crazy... No diamondbacks though |
