I think we all want to see the O.P. get this car. Let's not increase the animosity between these two parties, or risk mucking up the actual communications/negotiations - the dealer seems prone to making mistakes.
I understand your point, but when I called it wasn't to be a jerk or have a shouting match. I just wanted to see what was going to happen. I made it a point to be polite and civil. I don't know, trying on my investigative journalism hat I guess.

I didn't see the post where he asked people to not contact, so I guess I shouldn't have done it. But at least I kept polite, i even asked him if he wanted me to change his name or not. Hopefully I didn't mess anything up.

I do applaud Dooma's attorney though for his excellent work. He was able to form his position and make his point without the use of legalize and legal theories; simply by use of plain english and with few words. His reputation as a Harvard educated lawyer clearly precedes him. He appears to be doing work for Dooma pro bono on behalf of the board.

Good board community. Thumbs up.
Tool...clearly pwn3d in this thread...since the deal is next to done...boy..you showed us how smart you are with your back-handed compliments...now be a good troll and go away...BobbieBrighto = FAIL

PS...the ambulance chaser counsel for the dealer really earned his keep...i would love to see how many billable hours he generated...

Actually, I just realized... he is the smartest guy here...he was on the ONLY ONE TO GET PAID TO READ THIS THREAD

Or you could just do a thread search on Dooma...

I would STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM THE CAR and that dealership. Given their continued propensity to screw with Ken and their failure to see their fault in any of this, I wouldn't trust them enough to receive a vehicle from their dirty hands. Who knows what they might have done to it.

But Imagine the law suit and actions that can be taken against them if anything like that were to happen. I mean it can go down hill all the way from the GM who says mess with the car to the person who actually did something to the car.

Think back a few years ago when Ford had issues with the tire's on the trucks and people were drying, they went thru hell clearing there name.

I just say when it gets here have it delivered to a local dealer and have the shop foreman put on a white glove and look over the car.

The deal needs to be honored by both parties. Dooma did say he will have it inspected after taking delivery.

Huskar Auto would do well to deliver the car in working order. Any sabotage on their part would amount to criminal action. If they thought the internet community was damaging to their reputation, then they will definitely want to stay away from the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI.

I agree. I would bet that they have that car locked up and will have it spotless when he takes delivery of it. Then again maybe not judging by the decisions they have already made.

You know, looking at this issue from the start, if this Fil guy had any customer service skills and being that his a GM in a retail environment that would of just given th car at that price and just cut his losses.

I used to work as a Retail manager for Compusa and there were times even thou we had a disclaimer on our ad and had it posted all over the place its a mistake we would do the right thing and just sell a few units under cost just so the customer was happy and would shop with us again, but I guess Fil needs to go to some Customer Service classes to teach him how to handle situations like this.

Also I'm surprised how the owner of this who Van dealerships has not contacted Fil directed and said just give the guy the car and ended this whole ordeal. I mean its 3k if the guy has over 50 dealerships im sure he makes that 3k in what 30 min if not less?

The way they behave is what makes me think they won't, too.

working at the car wash, we get lots of customers who are both wrong, and full blown idiots, and try to say that they're right, when we both know very well that they're wrong. that's when i call the manager over.

I've been reading the posts since day 1, and a few things:

1. Dooma is completely entitled to that M3 at his price; the eBay auction was a legally binding contract. Kudos to Dooma for following through and being patient.

2. Those pictures of Phil are quite hilarious.
3. The YouTube video is equally hilarious.
4. Have any of the major news outlets picked this up yet? I still have yet to see it show up on Edmunds.com...
