The pieces could have just fallen out and the mechanic just didn't notice. Unless you specifically stated that you wanted the pieces, or wanted to view the process, how would the actual mechanic know?
You could have asked to go in the back and talk to the guy or look around the floor. I'd bet you'd find your parts. I think you're just being overly worried. |

Yes. Take it to a tire shop and if they can read it with their machine it means the sensor is in working order. When they see sensor like that usually they won't charge you. Just tell them I have some wheel/tires to mount/balance and want to make sure my sensor is working? 😎
But if sensor is damaged anywhere where the valves attaches to it then you need to change sensor regardless |

Each car is different but for my m3
I bought some universal itm sensors for my 08 off eBay. So I went to tire shop prior to mounting tires and had them check them make sure they work. Once they checked out had tires mounted, all I did was reset through idrive. There really was no programming. |
