Dropped at Dealer for Throttle Valve Actuator

Dropped her off this morning, was told this was covered under warranty (I have about 400 miles left). Thought it was amusing when the fleet drive manager was talking and commented on "hearing me coming" before I was there. As we were finishing up the loaner paperwork, the tech goes out and starts the car and the blips the throttle. I woman sitting a few desks down got startled and gasped out loud. I just smiled and said, "thats my baby." This was the first time that I actually got to be on the receiving end of the melodious tone of the AA catless X and the Meisterschaft. Tommy likey.

They have to order the actuator, so rescheduled for thursday. It WILL be covered under warranty. Maybe I should push for a clutch, too...

Wow, and I thought my ears were still ringing from an OEM exhaust mod (bypass method) that I did Friday. That's plenty loud for me, already got a few looks in my neighborhood. Not sure if they were good or bad.

Just ordered my parts for the same issue as you. $666.xx Hope that's not a sign of things to come

P.S. What State are you in btw?

The M3 lives at the farm, so most of the time, its just horses, dogs and cats that hear the teuton terror. Im in SC, 30-40 mins outside of Chas.

Good to know there's another M3 in SC
I'm in Spartanburg.

Are you driving around in limp mode as well? The car is barely faster than a Kia minivan right now!

I think mine just went in for the same reason....seems like the same symptoms and the tech who glanced at it said that's most likely it.

I have 73K miles on mine, thank goodness for extended warranty...I was wondering when I'd be using it lol

Enjoying the F30 328i Loaner with 300 miles that I got while my car is in the shop...not bad for a little 4 cylinder turbo motor.
