If you want to downgrade to a less legendary car, by all means.

M3 no question.

If you ask the 1M guys, they will tell you that their car is the latest and greatest thing BMW has ever created since the E30 M3.

The M3 has a true exotic performance engine.

1M, and don't come back.

I'm sick of reading these threads I just want to punch puppies.

"which should I buy" ...."dealer said my 1M has been ordered" ...WTF, did you just order a car and come online and ask advice? Here is a hint you are doing it ALL F***ING WRONG.

I'm so pissed right now, it's crazy - I'm going to hulk rage all over the internets....there should be a license to create new threads...

Both are great cars, if you can't choose one save your money - if you can afford it, take a 1M and keep your current DCT M3. If you are constantly hunting the next best thing, drop the M3, get the 1M and the next gen M3 will be around the corner as soon as your lust wears off. If you are into cars for more than the quick burn 'gotta have it' then I would say, find what you love and stick with it - you don't love your current car, sell it to somebody who does and truly enjoy your next car.

You are spending too much money to be apathetic.

If you can afford either one, it's a no brainer. But assuming you don't want to spend more than the difference for a 1M, I'd MUCH prefer a used (in pristine condition) M3 6MT than a 1M, but it's your money. Good luck.

This is usually true... I don't get selling a car you've already put depreciation into to buy another one

But to throw some gas on the fire, the 1M was faster on Top Gear. I still don't want one.

Depends on what you want in a car. Newer/smaller/lighter/more fun/more unique vs. Larger/better looking/more serious/faster...but you can't go wrong with either.

Oh, are they doing individual colors on 1M's yet? I don't want a black, white, or orange car.

Ok, i'll bite.

Newer/Smaller/Lighter/HPFP/Turbo/From M3 parts vs.
Older/Larger/Heavier/NO HPFP/Natural Aspired/The car everyone continues to compare too and fails short.

I agree though...you can't go wrong with either - It's a BMW.

Good solid advice. I should've came here and see what I should've bought for lunch today, cause I want to make sure its something everyone is going to like me when they see me eat it. I mean, god forbid I bought Burger King when the new cool is Shake Shack.
