My 2011.5 E90 does the same. I bought the car in February but didn't have the issue until a few months later when it got warm. I just assumed it was because of the moving parts (and the plastic warming up).

Well at least I now know it is not just me. This is bad quality for such an expensive car. I hope BMW will resolve it for all of us when we take our cars in for service.

This.

It comes and goes. The bigger pain in the ass is once you collect enough dust in between the door and window seals, the door/window creaks like CRAZY when doing into driveways, going over speed bumps, etc. It's an easy fix though, a little WD40 or liquid wrnch on the door jams and interior door sill and it goes away.

The crekaing miror noise will come and go too.

Hey guys,

Im assuming its this noise!!! A lot worse when its hot out.

I took it in, after about 5 visits telling me they cant hear anything and this video they finally applied some lubrication to the rubber seals around the mirrors and it went away.

@Definitive, that is exactly what I am talking about. It sounds horrible and is embassasing too. Thanks for posting the video.

Must be an E90 issue. I've never heard that. Definitely take it in and best of luck to you guys on the fix. BMW definitely needs to up some of the QC with that kind of stuff and interior rattling.

No problem. And def seems to be an e90 issue and its apparently rare enough that my dealer has never had it before. So I dont know if the QC comments are right. Cars that go 0-60 around 4.5sec are bound to have noises!!! You just have to listed to the right ones! haha

Seems like the E92's are built a bit better than the sedan and vert's.

Not sure it's better, just different! they are naturally tighter than a sedan or vert. Tighter + less flex = less noises...

May be, may be not. I'm on my second E90 M3, and I don't have this problem...
