Ex-S2K owner here. S2K is a great car that offer a lot of fun factor.

I do however prefer 335i coupe over S2K, because I need torque, speed, and comfort.

a lot of tracks won't let verts on the course without a roll cage. So you might check into that before getting one for intended track days use. Auto-x is different.

The only problem with the car was an occasional 4th cyclinder problem with some '00-'02 cars. The problem was fixed in '03+ cars.

This was not a design flaw but an abuse issue, over-rev a car with 9000 RPM's and you can have bad results...

Get a compression test and leak down = solved...

There are literally 24 people ever who had this problem it has been documented.
