i hate the tpms
I hate the TPMS it can't be just me the doorframe says to pump the tires to 35 psi about their front and back but in the morning when its cool out it sets off the tire sensors what am I supposed to do fill the tires every single morning does everybody really put 35 psi in their tires or do you fill it more so you don't set off the TPMS after driving for 5 or 10 minutes it does go away but I gotta deal with all the beats and all that other stuff until then every single day in the winter time and I'm in Southern California doesn't even really get that cold and the car is in my garage I'm probably only lose a pound or two out of the tires.
Just venting.... |

Doorframe psi rating is cold pressure, not hot pressure. As in, cold tires vs hot tires (not cold outside).
Just fill the tires one morning before you drive and you should be good to go. Otherwise you have a faulty TPMS or tire leaks. |

I thought I had bad sensors but I had them checked and they are good. Two new rear tires and I checked the cold psi last night and this morning my right front sensor went on. Ugh. Went off after driving a few miles. Would it be bad to fill them cold to 40psi?

When you put air in the tires, how long has it been since you drove the car?
It can take a few hours or more for them to cool off and psi to settle. Even leaving car in the sun will warm up the tires a psi or two. 40 is probably fine but it's just going to be a rougher ride. A lot of members on here run 40psi or more. |

I had not run the car in a few days. No leaks as per the tire shop. I just think 35psi is to low . then it gets cold and I lose a few psi and boom sensor alert. Maybe I'll try 38ish psi see what happens.

Set your tire pressures in the morning and then reset the TPMS. Simple.
