I had no time at all to put it on my car or test fit it... but this is what it looks like out of the box... There are some imperfections on the weave... but i'm okay with it.

as with all 3M installs, the more care you take during the installation will result in a better fit and lasting finish.

some tips i used to install both my ARKYM rear lip (previous) and the replica GTS-V lip:

1) make sure both surfaces are clean and free from grease/ oil and DRY, i didn't use any surface prep before hand, just soap and dry

2) test fit on your bumper to see where the diffuser touches the bumper to know where to put the 3M tape. especially for the replica diffuser, this may not be at the outer most corners of the lip

3) line the diffuser with 3M tape and press down firmly

4) mount on your bumper with OEM screws (not tightened)

5) once you got the diffuser where you want it, slowly remove the 3M tape from one end to the next.

6) use masking tape or painters tape (liberally) to ensure upward pressure for at least 24hrs!

to me point 6 is the most important step. Good luck with your installs!

Ok, here we go. Please excuse the iPhone pics, that's the best I can do

Install was pretty simple and straight forward. I chose to move my exhaust tips out about 2" to fit almost flush with the diffuser. Once the tips heat up from driving they stick out about 1/4" or so.

Nice box, well packaged

Out of the box

Some flaws I noticed right out of the box

This is what I meant be being able to see light through the weave

Taping up and painting the inside

Double stick applied

On the car pics

Small gap over/to the side of the right exhaust tips

A bit of a gap over/to the side of the left tips

Right side not sticking too well, this is probably the biggest gap/poorest fitment are of the whole piece

Right side gap

Left side gap

The weave on mine seems to be much better. I would consider asking for a replacement

^ Its the camera editing that played with the shadows and contrast. In real life they look the same even with lights shining on it.

Ummm, some of the pictures above are supposed to show "imperfection in the weave"
Imperfections are when you can notice something wrong looking it over for the second time from 20" away from eye level. Those are disasters.

I did... they said they could give me "little Dollars" or I can return it... No exchanges as it costs too much to ship back and forth. So I just kept it... didn't install it yet though as the car has been in the garage for the past 2months... no time to drive it.

I've been slacking...I made this thread almost exactly 6 months ago and I still have yet to buy one of these things....

My final conclusion....since I was able to find a less expensive route to get a really nice diffuser (even though its not 100% flawless) ya'll should pitch in and help buy me one?? What ya'll think? I'll pay 1/2 and you all can chip in and pay the other 1/2

I don't know why they are having this problem. I remember that when
I purchased my two sets from 4AMotor on the BMW Performance CF Splitters, they came perfect, flawless. Compared them side to side with OEM from BMW and you couldn't tell a difference.

They should take the same quality they had on those, to make this diffuser flawless.

I think the color looks fine lol. I'd be more concerned with the clearance between the exhaust and the diffuser.. I've seen so many of them melt. :s
