Do you regret not getting a sunroof or do you wish you had carbon fiber?
Hey, guys this is my final debate, do you guys that with the carbon fiber roof regret not getting the sunroof? And for the guys with the sunroof, do you wish you had the carbon fiber?
Thanks, Chris |

I drive with the sunroof's shade open all the time. I like the extra light.
The CF is cool, but the performance gain is NILL/Nothing/Zilch. I'd like the option to open the roof. I'm also not tracking or playing speedracer.

Every car can come with a sunroof, but at my last count only 2 production cars are available with CF ( Both from BMW )
That makes the decision very easy |

Only Saturn made "un-dentable" plastic door panels, back in the day, but I wouldn't have bought one. The CF is very unique looking, but some people love a sunroof. I prefer the CF, but to each their own. The M isn't exactly a collector's car, so I wouldn't let the scarcity of the roof be a factor in a purchase decision. (I suppose you could argue that an M3 with a sunroof is even more rare.)

I don't miss my sunroof at all. I love the CF roof since it's unique and looks great.

The CF roof is a nice novelty... But more of a novelty than anything else. I do kind of wished BMW had also put it on the e90, but they did not so sunroof was my best choice on the e90 and I really like it. I missed having one as my B7 S4 had roof delete option.

I didn't get the sunroof. I wish I had the option for the CF roof but it's not available on the E90. Sucks
I wonder what the reason for not having it on the E90 is? |

I like my CF. It's really cool, different than all other cars aside from the M6. Gets lots of looks and compliments. Although most people just ask what it is and when I explain they still don't get it. Goes nicely with the AW car. It's pretty cool to be one of the only cars on the road with a CF roof. But I think this probably will be my last car with a CF roof. As stated before it's more of a novelty than anything else. I have a feeling three years from now when I buy a new car I will be sick of seeing CF. A moonroof actually serves a purpose and is nice to have the option to open it. Plus moonroofs never go out of style. I have a feeling CF will. It's way to trendy to cover everything in CF now and buy every CF accessory available. That being said, no I have no regrets getting a CF roof.

I have a sunroof on my car right now. I can't even remember the last time I used it. I don't even open the shade, as I enjoy the darker look in the cabin.
When its daytime there is certainly no lack of sunlight here in Texas. The choice is simple, CF all the way.

if the CF roof changed the performance of the car I would have gotten it for that reason alone. As it was an aesthetic option, I opted for the "usable" sunroof. I realize that there are many that like the look of CF - it just never took with me. Then again I do have 2 pair of jean shorts in my drawer that are waiting for them to "come back."
