Will 17 inch winter tires with the sizes225/50r17

My friend has a set of winter tires he is selling and he will give them to me for cheap if they fit. Will the tire size 225/50r17 fit an e92 m3? I'm leaning towards them not being able to fit but I'm not 100% sure. Does anyone know for sure?

17s will not clear the brakes.

Some 17s might clear but it will be close. A spacer might help.
