Cops using new radar??

Just heading through banff to radium and passed two cops who had people pulled over and my detector didnt go off at all.
Also a lidar hide out and it still didnt go off, just a warning from the cop waving me to slow down. Anyone know if they got new tech out?

Most cops use laser and that is not in play if they have pulled someone over. At least one cop has to be targeting you for your detector to go off.

Jammers? Not being sarcastic.. I only have a valentine now and would be interested to know what my options are. I've looked into this a bit but am not sure what really works well in today's world. I'm in the market for something..

The first two cops most likely shut their guns off after they clocked their victim. Thus, no detection possible by your detector.

They have to be pulling the trigger to get a reading and reading your speed. Neither of these two conditions were met.

I have the passport 9500ci and it just seems its not going off anymore whereas two weeks ago it would be picking cops up pretty early. Laser jammers are on order. Just wondering if anyone was. Having a similar experience.

LIDAR does have to be stationary. Incorporate GPS into it and it'll know how fast the unit is travelling, and then compensate. I'm sure there's more to it. The technology is currently used for geographical mapping.

I'm back and forth between Calgary and Windermere every weekend and have noticed that starting this spring that all the RCMP on the BC side of the drive are using lidar now. I have been hit a couple of times and fortunately no tickets and I have gone through traps as well where I don't get hit so obliviously not targeted at times. Every time my 9500xi goes off with laser beeps my heart skips a beat. Last summer I used to pick up KA band most of the time. I love the drive in the M3 but have to be more careful now!
