New Diffuser - How tight should the fit be between the diffuser and exhaust?

I just got my new type II diffuser and when I test the fitment I notice that I have to wedge it between the bottom of my bumper and my RPI exhaust, are diffusers normally that tight of a fit? Won't the diffuser melt sitting on the exhaust? Maybe since the RPI outlets are larger I cannot use a diffuser?

Heres my VRS diffuser over an RPI exhaust. My exhaust is ceramic coated therefore the tips dont get so hot. I dont know that it would burn the diffuser anyway. It fits nice and snug. Tips stick out half an inch when cold. They expand another inch or so when up to temp.

The fit will be snug depending on how big the tips are. However, they should sit at least .10 inch away from any surrounding to make sure it doesn't melt the paint/diffuser.

We recently had a customer come in with a Meisterschaft GTC and whoever installed it didn't align the tips properly. He went to the track, and it melted/warped his OEM bumper...luckily we installed the ARKYM diffuser and was able to fix his tips for him...
