2013 M3 Allocations

Does anyone know when Dealers will receive their allocations for the 2013 M3?

I will be ordering one for ED with a Sept. pick-up, and I am waiting on my dealer to confirm that he has his allocation. Before I bug him again, I figured I would check on here to see if anyone was aware of the allocation dates.

Production begins in July, correct?

dealer allocations do not affect ED sales; ED cars do not come out of a dealer allocation. so, moving toward an ED deal should not be delayed by 2013 allocation. it is a function of getting a production slot for ED and coordinating the delivery date.

this may seem like semantics, but it is not. there are two distinct processes, and it is important for you to know that your ED does not potentially take away another sale from the dealer in question.

your dealer may simply be waiting to hear when a 2013 ED can be coordinated.

i'd highly suggest contacting an M3post sponsor with much ED experience. i am only familiar with Ryan at Steve Thomas BMW, who has done countless ED deals for M3posters all over the country. give him a shot at your deal, you will not be disappointed.

Thanks, I appreciate that feedback. I had actually exchanged emails with Ryan a few months ago to get pricing, and I was able to get the same deal from my local dealer. The main reason I decided to go with my dealer was because he is local (as opposed to across the country) and he is a family friend who does have some ED experience.

But all that aside, I will take what you said into consideration, and if I don't get a response from him within the next few weeks I may need to consider making a dealer change.

i am in the same position, and ryan thinks he will have info around 5/21. i just need the date and i book the trip to munich.

aug 17-20. one week before my son starts school. i am under the impression than 8/13 is the first delivery date. if it is later than 8/23 or so, i will have to go without him.

I put a deposit down more then a month ago in hope for delivery on August 21. I really hope it will all work out since I can't change my vacation date any more!!!

Yes, I did do ED. It worked out perfect for me since it fit into an existing trip. I took redelivery at the Performance Center. The whole experience was really cool and I highly recommend that you do it, especially since it's not that long of a drive from Central Florida. I made a mini road trip out of it, stopping in Savannah for a couple days. I am not yet a member of CFBMW.org - are you a member? Are you getting E92 or E93? I am super excited for you, but I gotta warn you, the wait is killer! Of course in the end it is totally worth it.

Just curious if you heard anything on your date since yesterday was 5/21? I asked my dealer on Friday and he said it should be any day now.

I'll be leasing end of August and my dealer stated 2012 allocations are gone and they would have their first 2013 allocation the first week of June with delivery mid to late August.

Always good to see another woman M3 driver. I'm from Canada but my dealer told me I'd be getting a July production and he'd be contacting me late this month to confirm my car's specs, and he did today.

It felt good to submit my final specs.

I got mine into the order bank today!!!
Now I just need an ED confirmation date so the vacation planning can start.

Congrats!! And I feel the same way - I just want to get my final specs in so that I can start to plan the trip! I'm going to give my dealer until Tuesday - if I don't hear anything I'm going to check with him again, because it seems like the allocations are starting to come in everywhere.

Sounds like a plan. I talked to my dealer again today and they've got theirs. So yours should know soon.
