I am definately interested in their exhaust I just wish I could hear it in person to tell how loud it would be for street use.

Hopefully an M3post member can go to RPI and hear it in person to give us some firsthand input.

I would be interested in a x-pipe with one set of Hi-flow cats and the 2nd cats deleted. It may "tone down" the sound a bit and Im sure reduce HP a touch over the race version but logically it should produce gains over the restrictive stock setup and it would alleviate having our ECU played with.

Even my mod friendly SA said game over for warranty work if the ECU is played with.

Same here. My SA said I can do ANY mod except for messing with ECU. I really don't know why they would let you do springs with EDC but not allow you to tamper with the stock ECU. Anyone know why?

because the wrong tune on your car can damage your engine. If you mess with the springs, youll just potentially ruin your cars handling capabilities. Most guys lower the car for looks. Actually tuning the suspension gets costly.

As for how loud it is. We dont have db readings yet.

So have any M3post members heard this exhaust in person to comment on the sound?

Two questions (I apologize if these were asked and answered; I didn't see them):

Will there be an E90-specific version?

Does the muffler assembly bolt on (cat-back)?

Thanks.

There is the possibility that RPi will develop a E90 version of the full Race exhaust in the near future. The muffler is axle-back and should accommodate both E90 and E92. We'll know for sure about the fitment once we can get a E90 in for fitment. The lead time for the exhaust is 2 - 3 weeks.

We are releasing our exhaust next week. As a promo, we offering a free set of intake scoops with any purchase of the full exhaust system. Also, we welcome any other stock car with another aftermarket exhaust for a dyno day shoot out.

I am in Fullerton, and am interested in the setup. Is there a way I can check the system out in person on the weekend? If you can do next Saturday that would be great.

BTW, my buddy Ernest had nothing but good things to say about RPI.

Can I see pics of it off the M3 as well? Also, can you powdercoat it a semi-high gloss black like Gintani? I don't no bling tips. So is this more of a high-pitched tuned v8 sound or a Mustang v8 rumble? Thx!

If you want serious power, go RPi.

I should have one installed on a car this week. If the car is still here for installation, you can see/hear it this Saturday since we have a dyno day this sat.

We wont be able to custom color the tips to order. If you dont want shiny tips, just dont clean them. ALso, the M3 does NOT have the same high pitch engine sound characteristics as the M5. The M3 has always had a distinct sound.

I never said the M3 has the same high pitch engine sound as the M5. I just don't want a typical domestic v8 sound, that's all.

We will have 5 exhaust systems completed this Friday. Those who have been placed on our waiting list need to confirm with us by Thursday or else they will be sold to the next person in line waiting.

I got the message from Joe. The first batch of exhausts are sold and we are making more. We should have a few more completed next week.

Any plans for a bolt on cat back system?
