Wish I could have been there! Had to get ready for a trial, only for the judge to postpone it at the last minute. Won't be in town for 1/5, either.

Stupid question, but are there any quality tracks south of Willow Springs where you hold events, or is that basically the furthest south it gets?

Come out on the 18th to buttonwillow. I switch off between Willow Springs and Buttonwillow.

for a person that has never tracked their car, would you recommend Willow springs or button willow for their first track event?

In my opinion, some might argue but I think Willow Springs Road Course is a easier track to learn. Yes, it's faster then Buttonwillow but it's only nine turns. You can learn the track within a session or two, then improve throughout the day.

If you run with SD, You will probably have 10-15 cars in your run group, which means you will have tons of space on the track, with no stress/pressure from other drivers.

Push your car to what your comfortable driving, without getting a ticket.

Plus get to hang out with other M3 drivers, check out their cars, ask about modifications/parts, tips on driving, ride alongs... All fun.

Awesome stuff. I've ridden Buttonwillow and The Streets, and raced a couple of seasons in WSMC (Willow Springs Motorcycle Club) at Willow Springs... But I've never had a car on the track - yet!

Love the fastest road in the west, and looks like all had a great time.

Excellent photography.

I agree that Willow Springs is easier to learn than Buttonwillow. I also think Streets of Willow is an awesome learning track, but not sure if there are lots of car events there.

18 inch FIs look great! Did you get a track alignment or you just hopped straight on the track with what you had?
