Would the machine tell you if the wheel is bent?

I've seen techs put tires on the balancer and after putting the cover on, they don't really look at wheel at all. I don't know how obvious it was, but not noticing it seems plausible.

Not all machines are the same and not all tech's will tell you if the wheel will balance out 100%.
Usually if the tech is good and he knows the wheel is for a sports car, he (or she) will tell you so you'll know.
If he suck's and knows the wheel is going on a camry, he'll just pick his nose and install it.
