So I'm tutoring this woman in my money & banking class and we were going over a simple math problem and she told me she doesn't know how to do a percent.

.....

she works in a bank, Bank of America to be exact. she explained how she was giving out a loan to a woman once and she couldn't figure out how to get a percent she needed and it was embarassing.

.....

i don't know what is worse...the fact that she has an associate's degree and can't figure out how to do a percent, that she works at a bank and can't figure out a percent, or that she works at a bank and has only had to figure out a percent once.

To be the devil's advocate, at least she has the courage to ask. Most would probably be too embarrassed.

lol maybe. yeah it helps me too though because i force myself to study. i helped her with the homework for the past few weeks but now that she wants me to come see her and help her she is paying me, which is cool but i don't think i really deserve it, i mean i'm not an expert. she's giving me $6/hr and when i told someone they said that was really low but i don't care, i'd do it for free. it sucks though i have to wake up and go to her house from 10:30am to like 8pm tomorrow and it's 3am here and i'm still not sleeping, oh well.
