What is a normal amount of days to build an m3 I was under the impression it was around 4-5 days. My car entered production on 3/2 and it is still in the body shop with a estimated completion on 3/13 seems like a long time.

I was told a week but from what I've notice is that the BMW website has a delay on updating its states. To get more accurate info ask your sales advisor.

Car just went into production today. My CA emailed me and the website updated but when I called the 1800 number it still said it did not have a production date. I though the 1800 had the most up to date info. Anyways I hope there aren't anymore delays along the way!

2012 must be last E9X model year

I ordered a 2012 M3 Monte Carlo blue individual in mid september 2011. The order was approved by BMW in 2 days. I was driving my new M3 on November 20th, 2011. It looks like 2012 will be the last year for the current body style.
If you want a V8 get your order in now!. It is a glorious sounding motor!

The E9X M3 has been officially confirmed to go into MY 2013 although they have not confirmed if it will be a full year run.

Soooo it's still a month and a half wait from build completion to dealer delivery? If this is the case, I will be waiting 5 months from initial order (February) to projected build (April) to dealer delivery (June).

I give up...

Well, depends what you want (i.e. what I ordered). It just got produced. I'm sure they could redirect it to another location, given that it's just through the build. I need to decide this weekend if I'm going through with it. I'm disillusioned these days..

Today my dealer called me to tell me that the status changed from 111 (Ordered accepted) to 112 (Scheduled for daily production pack) with a confirmed production date of April. I then told the manager that I wanted to change my trim from sycamore anthracite to carbon leather if it did not affect my delivery. He did it for me, assuring me it wouldn't affect the production of my car. He called me back and told me that my car went back to 111 status and now the production date changed to May. I give up folks. I frickin give up...

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

That's messed up. Your CA should get on the phone and get that straightened out.

They apologized and said. Itching can be done. Asked me if they want me to change it back to the original trim to see if it will go back to the original set date. I'm afraid to do that since it might delay it even further. I don't think there is anything that they can do as the factory doesn't take well to special requests.
