OEM Exhaust Vid/Sound
I was out tooling around with a rear facing camera...a GoPro Hero with a suction cup on the rear bumper. Here is a compilation of clips from the drive showing E90 6MT to give an idea of what is going on behind you when you are out and about. Not all the changes are as crisp as I'd hope, but what can you do? Unfortunately, 'other' road users spoiled my fun...

Hmmm that's kinda cool, any info on the actual camera? Would you recommend it or are there better things out there?

You can get them for much less than MSRP on e-bay, and the older models with weaker resolution, are even cheaper. They are really easy to use as they are so basic in function. I am okay with it. There was a firmware update which degraded the quality of the picture. The reason I was out was that I have picked up a contourHD camera this week and have that forward facing in the cabin. I wanted to catch the exhaust note to mesh with the video. That's in editing. So far, I prefer the contourHD as it doesn't have such a strong fish eye, so it catches the shape of the road more. For miniature cameras shooting HD, they are pretty cool! |
