Went for a early morning ride in new england

So I went for any early morning spirited drive up here in CT and noticed how the S65 just comes alive with temps in the mid 50's. The car just seemed to pull so much more and felt alot torqueier (if thats even a word). I love this car!!
Happy trails folks

Exact same story here, just a different state. Great drive this morning. M engines love the cooler temps.

Yeah, like 50 to 70 degrees seems to be the sweetspot. 40's are great too but I don't get the car out much as the weather tends to be inclement. Tires not great in those temps either.

Mountain road. Nice and empty around 7am. Also that long upwards strip of west main street coming from west hartford kinda towards russell speeders car wash. Pretty dead at that time and no houses with sleeping people that can be disturbed. Its gots some nice bends in it.

Ive seen a few M3s around here. On friday saw this great looking yellow E92 heading west on 84.

Nice to see CT represented here. I'm in Granby and work in Hartford. Maybe I'll see you around.

Edit: On topic, the M3 runs great for me under all conditions.

1% gain in hp for every 10 degree drop in air temp. 1% gain in hp for every 10% drop in humidity. So think about a 90 degree humid day vs a 50 degree dry day. Big difference.

You and Raygogg920 need to drive up near the UCONN Storrs campus. There are a lot of back roads you can open it up on.

temperature differences definitely change the feel of a car.

even my e46 325 can feel different in cooler temperatures. its a small difference, but its definitely there.

Connecticut actually has some decent roads...I grew up around that area and remember times driving my old cars to UCHC.

Now, driving home from Manhattan makes for a nice ride on the Merritt Parkway.

X2 on the roads in CT. I went to school in Waterbury and had an Ex for 5-Years that lives in Woodbury. Beautiful parts in CT.
