Honestly, I passed...the initial price was beyond what I wanted to spend. If you ask me, what he was asking was too much for an M3 with PSS9s on it. I would think that the car would have something a little better on it...not that PSS9s are horrible.

so how's the e36?

Thank you, Phil, Richard, Franklin, Andreas, and anyone else I might have missed by name. It was a great event!

Oh, so the next track day...I've got the 3rd of November available (hint hint)

As others have mentioned, thanks to Richard and Phil for putting everything together and for everyone else who helped out. I had a great time and finally killed my set of Hoosier rears.

Hey Eveyone,

It was great to meet all of you. I apologize for not being more social while trying to get my suby back up and running. This was one of the most friendly and fun groups I have run with. Thanks to Phil and Richard for the hard work getting the event together and Tai for saving my day by letting me drive his cars for a couple session. It really meant a lot!

I will most certainly be back to MSR and especially if the Houston M Club puts the event on.

Cheers,
Rob

Sounds like everyone had fun and made it out unscathed. Also I'm sure the weather was fantastic! It was pretty good in TWS...my car was running awesome in the cool morning. So no more M Club events for 2012? C'mon, I thought this was TX?

The car is complete for the most part and runs great. Its like a BMW Miata. Just needs a cage, better seats, and harnesses. Not sure if I am going to go that route and it had nothing to do with that car in particular...it is a very good car for the price range.

You probably have seen the car already, PM me if you want the seller's info and I can tell you more about it. He might have been to a previous M Club event. He and I will be with at MSRH with the Driver's Edge in Nov if you want to look at it then. If you talk to an asian guy there its probably me.

Yeah I suspect we'll see something by the time we hit the track again. You can only hold out for so long before the mod bug bites hard.........ask me how I know. In my case it was the track bug.........I remember when all I wanted to do was watch and grab a ride with someone. Now I'm trying to watch cars fall off my rear bumper ..................Phil

Hi Guys,
special thanks to Phil for the organization, good to see Richard back in town. I thoroughly enjoyed myself as I always do. Thanks Vaughn for the video clip you sent me. Much appreciated. The Nissan gave me hell. Also wanted to give a shout to Andrea for the ride in the s2000. I gotta get me some more practice man!. Hope to see you guys out there next year.

Wink Track Day 10/20

Track day was great! Perfect weather. I wanted to thank everyone who made it happen. I wanted to express my ideas or thoughts about having ride alongs. I know safety is KEY but we did all sign waivers, and if passengers are wearing helmets, why not be allowed to hop in. Even intermediate class as well. I understand beginner. I think if we paid for the event we should have a say about it? Just asking if anyone else shares the same thoughts.

A ride-along can be a distraction to the driver (conversations, giggling, screaming, etc.). They may also cause a driver to drive beyond their abilities just to show off. I'm only an intermediate driver, but I can understand why ride-alongs are only allowed in the advanced/instructor group.

The biggest reason is you, the organization and the track double their liabilities if something happens. In most DE orgs from my observation, the intermediates present a unique challenge because that is where you usually have the biggest speed, skill, and experience gap between drivers...so it makes for some interesting moments.
