Under seat woofers - e92 m3
Hi,
So I've recently picked up an e92 m3 and am looking to upgrade some audio bits, here and there. I do have the individual audio option (is this the same as ESP?) and am looking to start with the under seat woofers. I've read that they are 8" drivers, but wanted to know specifics in term of maximum depth and other tips when replacing them (resistance, do they need spacers, shallow drivers etc.). Also, my door speaker to the right vibrates a little when the sound system is turned off (not sure if it's finished or there is something else in the door rattling) - is this common? Thanks! -Cameron

The stock under seat woofers are actually 6.5 inch. However you can get certain shallow 8 inch woofers in there. The most common woofers that are used are the jehnerts or earthquakes. If you search on this forum you will find more information.
I can't remember if the individual audio system is the same as the the eps system but I'm sure that info is available in this forum as well. |
