how do you clean a MS air filter?

Checked out my MS air filter today and was pretty filthy, all I could do was vacuum the crap out of it. But element is pretty dirty on the bottom side from the incoming air. How can it be leaned? Or should I get a new one?

Cheers,

MS filter is oiled. you can clean it by buying a recharge kit. just get the K&N kit which also comes with red oil. you can get this at your local autozone or canadian tire(for those in canada)

recharge kit will come with a cleaning solution which u use to wash the filter. once this is done, let the filter dry overnight before you start oiling. the filter should be pale pink after it is washed. and once you re-oil it, it will have the original deep red look again.

No point buying an MS filter if they don't even supply a recharge/cleaning kit for it. Ditch it and go get yourself a k&n.
