I'm actually a new owner of a M3, currently in the rebuliding stage bought a totaled 2009 and almost done fixing it. I will make a rebuild thread later once i find time to write it up. But anyway now to the question i need help with.

Q: What tire size to fit AG M359 without rubbing.
Front: 19x9 et18
Rear: 19x10 et25
(no spacers)

It had the 220m wheels but had some curb rash and needed another wheel all together so i decided to just buy aftermarket. It is currently running Michelin Pilot sports 245/35/19 front and 265/35/19 rear. In that current set up the front doesn't seem it would be to bad on the 19x9 instead of the 19x8.5 of the 220m but the rear is already looking like it is almost pushing the limit at 19x9.5 and adding another 1/2 inch just seems like it wouldn't fit right because it would have to go that extra distance and make it angle pretty decent from the tread to the bead. The front also has me worried that it has to go the extra distance and might not be correct. So can anyone say that they will fit and perform correctly? Also was looking at doing 265/30/19 fronts and 285/30/19 rears.

If anyone is running this setup and has pictures would be awesome!

I am getting PSS 275/30 and 295/30 installed on the same wheels tomorrow in prep for my SC install. I can let you know how they go. FWIW I have a non ZCP.

Edit: currently run 245/35 and 275/35 with no issue...my fronts rubbed with 255/35 Vredesteins. I like the 20mm offset of the tire sizes better.

275/30 will have a clearance issue with some suspension setups up front

The 255/35's had a bit of shoulder rub...just a tad tho. The 275/30's are about 1/4" smaller in diameter, so it should be fine.

255/35/19 will rub on full lock with an 18mm offset on a 9"wheel. You need an offset of about 26mm or greater to insure no rubbing with a 255/35/19 tire on a 9" wide wheel. The 18mm AG wheel was really designed to go with the stock 245 tire size and creates a perfect fitment with that tire. You can pair this with a 285/30 or 275/35 rear.

Ok, so I switched out my Vred 245/35 and 275/35 for PSS 275/30 and 295/30 today. All I can say is WOW what a difference. My first thoughts after driving around today...

THE GOOD: Incredible grip. Even right off the lot, they stuck to the road like glue. It is difficult to put into words how sticky these things are...especially with this width. Corners, straight lines, whatever. You are not going to slide unless you REALLY want to...or if you are SCed (...soon).

THE BAD: A minor loss in steering feel, and a perceived sense of lessened sharpness when not pushing the car. As speed goes up, the natural M3 sharpness returns, however. Also, the car feels artificially heavy around town, despite the tires weighing approximately the same. Be it good or bad, I think it has to do with a combination of extra grip and extra width (i.e. more road friction).

RUBBING: Fronts - no problem, no rub from lock to lock. Rears - no rubbing under normal driving, hard corners, and launches. Yes, they do rub on the fender liner under full compression, but diligent driving habits will prevent this.

THE VERDICT: Fantastic switch. I cannot wait to see how they handle the extra power of an ESS!
