Euro front plate - cool or tacky?

I live in the US but have many business friends in Regensburg, Germany where the M3 is made. I've been talking about buying one all year. Last time my colleagues visited, they brought me a real German license plate from Regensburg as a gift. Picking the car up on Saturday. I live in a state with no front plate requirement and was thinking of putting the German plate on the front.

Cool or tacky? Anybody know if it's legal?

State specific on the legality.

I'll vote tacky, but whatever. I see it a lot.

It belongs on the wall of your garage, it would be cool there, perhaps with a big roundel nearby.

Tacky... especially since it was not even the temp plate you would have gotten when doing European Delivery. You should feel lucky if you live in a state with no front plate requirements.

Smooth front is best!

I imagine that you will get stopped more often running a German plate in the US

shouldnt be illegal... at least its not illegal here in quebec since we dont need any front plates. i dont think its tacky unless you put something really cheesy on the plate... i had it on my old car. it helped save my bumper from small dings caused by other people while parallel parking in the city. i think there's nothing wrong with it if you like it.

Legality is state-specific. You should read into what your state says about no front plates. In california, it's illegal, but I still see no plates/europlates all the time lol. I honestly think they look much better than the US plates since it runs smoothly without covering up part of the bottom grill. Just my opinion

Plus a front plate makes you more susceptible to lidar including "lock-on" at a much longer range.

Tacky.

You don't see euro vehicles running US plates.
