Coding different default settings for EDC, Power, and DCT mode
I searched this forum but nothing seemed to pop out. I have some experience using Protool but before I dig around searching for options to change Power, EDC, and DCT settings at startup (separate from MDM settings), is it possible? TIA.

Perhaps more specifics about what you intend to do?

Sure. I'd like the car to "initialize" with the "power" throttle mode "on", and the DCT mode at the "3" setting vice "2".

Not that I have found that is accessible to the lay person. Some tuners are able to tweak DCT shift points but it seems to be a secret sauce type thing as far as I've seen. I've been told that if your car starts up in D2 your DCT tune is based off the GTS base map. I just map settings to my M button and call it good.

EDIT. LOL. I think you misunderstood me and then I misunderstood you...the car starts in D 1. What I want to change is the setting for how aggressive the DCT is, which starts in position 2. The setting controlled by the switch under the shift level. I thought about mapping to the M button...but my OCD says that has to be the "crazy" button, not the "normal" button...

you can set it up however you want but it will always bring MDM on. I have mine set to be fun but not violent. DCT shifts are at 4, servo steering off, throttle aggressive. I didn't like how shifts would jar the rear end in setting 5 or 6

there are people that can put the European MDM on your car. That's an interesting option. It is apparently a little less of a nanny than US spec MDM.

In the iDrive in the M drive settings, if you hit option you can set the default settings on startup. I'm not sure if DCT is available but for sure power button is there for my 6MT.
