Lightening up on M3Post
Dear fellow members, in a bit of introspection after re-reading what I actually post..... I think I have fallen into the trap of taking the internet too seriously.
I really enjoy the discussions we have on this board and it seems that we (me included) spend too much energy in trying to prove things (whether it is that I am right and others are wrong).... This is a fun thing for me and I will reduce the friction and baiting that I do..... While it is fun to beat up on Footie for various reasons, he is a good guy.... I will try to have more fun.

Speak for yourself, I plan on continuing to be mean, argumentitive and look for excuses to beat up on Footie or cheer on SWAMP when he lays into him....
j/j............I agree, this place is starting to feel like e90post

In the spirit of BMW, I always thought that I will meet people that try to be more philosophical, and sophisticated. WHo bloody cares. I am here because I follow my dream that I had when I was 6 years old; when I first fell in love with the legendary M1. Thus, with the spirit of BMW inside of me, I say to those people:"take your shitty ass attitude, low grade humor, your sarcasm, your degrading behavior, and your useless humanity and find a different website that you can lay your shit on". Keep BMWing friends.

Good post T-Bone.
Its a little easier (but still difficult) to check the ego at the door when there's actually a door to enter. With the internet its always there so, before you know it, you can find yourself getting into it with people over things that aren't really that significant. I think we all do it to some extent. Hope everything is ok with you. I noticed that you indicated your trip to VIR was delayed due to personal issues. I sincerely hope it is nothing of a serious nature and that you are well. |

I have no problem being the whimping boy for TB and the like to beat on because I like the superior transmission which is Quattro (jk).
I have a running debate/banter with TB and I still have a photo to PM to him and he has one to do in return. There is no harm done and no doubt within the next 20 minutes business will have return to normal and this thread will have been all but fought about. |

Thanks, things are managable but I would have more fun in a few weeks anyway.

No I am serious, I enjoy whipping you too much and that is bad. I really do enjoy the debates and there are way too many personal issues stitched together with real technical issues.

this isn't a love fest, but I hope we can improve the quality of the discussions here and I will start with myself.

Yeah, sorry about my posts in the other thread. I just don't care about street racing, and I was pissed when I had to sift through 60+ posts of arguing. I wanted to find info about how the car reacted to being launched and how to improve that.

I think we all need to be a little more tolerant of newbies on this forum too. Yes, we're all tired of hearing the same old question over and over, however one of the things that makes m3post great is the amount of traffic that is here, especially regarding the E9x M3 series. If we are scaring new folks away, the list won't grow. The more the merrier IMHO.
I've always tried to keep my arguments/discussions on a non-personal level (no personal attacks) however I'm not sure I've always been successful. Good thread here.

M3post version: u tell jason, next person comes and asks you go WHAT THE FUCK MAN, I JUST TOLD THE FUCKING STORY, GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE... imagine doing that in real life. that is douche-like. on the other hand in my class "ANNOYING 101" i learned the following: if ur doing something annoying that is getting on someone's nerves they'll start ignoring you hoping u'd go away. once they start ignoring you dramatically increase your annoyance coz it's really really working. what's the point: if u see uptight people about noob questions and what not, keep annoying them more and more |

More than agree with you as the good nature of this board has somewhat diminished in the last several months with heated arguments about issues that are either extremely hard to prove or unprovable (is that a word?).... Jason
