Black Chrome Exhaust Tips

I'm thinking about adding the black chrome exhaust tips. I've decided that I don't really want an aftermarket exhaust. The subtlety of the oem exhaust sound is something I prefer, and a 1-2% power gain and few lost pounds just isn't worth the expense to go aftermarket, at least for me. I've already got the black chrome gills/grills on mineral white.

Anybody done this? Any thoughts (like this group MIGHT have an opinion)? Looks like the cost is less than a couple hundred bucks.

i put them on mine with silverstone metallic and i like the way it looks. makes the exhaust stand out more

one concern: i drive the car very spritfully and it seems like the tips get hot to the point where the black is peeling off...but its covered under warranty so idc

Wow. With a 2011.5, you can't have that many miles on them. Don't you have to drop the muffler to get to the rivets? Or did you have the dealer install them for you?

Had mine installed by the dealer. After a year, they are holding up fine.

Will they fit an e90 M3 or will modifications have to be made in order for them to fit?

well if your going to do this.. might as well paint the axle back all black. it looks weird how that white one got black tip but the muffler. looks awkward.

basically in short... UGLY.
