I just got back from the 2 day M school at Greenville, it was insane fun!
Your going to love it. Disneyland for the big kids... It was the perfect intro for me since I was previously a complete track noob. Now I've got the bug and already plotting for advanced VIR school and a local HPDE event. I thought it was totally worth the money considering the excellent instruction, use of their cars, no worries about insurance, and comfy stay at the Marriott. Also, the food at the Marriott was phenomenal, and overall the experience was first class all the way... We drove 1M, M3, and new F10 M5. M3 was by far my favorite but I was impressed with the 1M and the new F10. The 1M was great fun and I loved the tight nimble feeling of a lighter smaller M car. I wouldn't mind owning one of these babies myself and definitely would consider it should they offer new variation of the 1M concept in the future. It felt so easy and controlled drifting the 1M on skidpad compared to the M5. The new F10 M5 was a pretty sweet ride with super power. It's a silky smooth luxury cruiser with confidence inspiring control but way too big for my taste. If the new F10 is any indication I'd say the new M3/4 is going to rock. Highly recommend the M-School experience! Axis

did PCD delivery on July 18, two days after they received the new M5's. They had the 8.5K ceramic brake option and could stop on a dime - incredible. Instructors were still getting a feel for the twin turbo V8 - got the feeling they were a little skeptical vs. the V10. What a blast riding with Donnie in the M5 - smokin tires and neck snapping acceleration and braking.
