Tried a train horn in my friend's E55 back in the day and it was awesome. Very useful against the Masshole drivers on the Mass Pike.

Well, the OP's are totally hidden, so I don't think you can get more stealthy. These look easier to install, though. Only 2 tones instead of 3, though.

Well to each his own, I would never do this on an M3, but can see its many uses. But why did you put the huge button where you did? So many other stealth places to mount it. Your also going to hit it with your arm while shifting or using the idrive, no?

I'd go for something more like this:

[u2b]<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/E2-2w9cCAsk&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/E2-2w9cCAsk&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>[/u2b]

but then again, no room...

LOL I'd love to do this mod because frankly, some of the drivers deserve to get blasted into the next lane.

I wanted easy access to it. I did a stealthier install on my E46 and rarely used it because I couldn't get to the button fast enough. The button has since been moved toward the passenger's side to make room for the switch for my cutouts, so there's no chance I'll ever hit it when I don't want to.

Let's put a giant goofy looking button in the cabin of our $70k car so we can scare people.

We're talking serious white trash behavior here.

The posters reactions to this horn seem to be at the two extremes, either like it, or think it's ridiculous.

As a BMW owner in the 70s, I had air horns installed into 2 or 3 of the cars I had then. They were very effective when needed on the streets, and no one thought they were ridiculous. My horns could either give a direct solid blast, or at the flip of a switch, play the Coronel Boogie (sic) march. Have the times changed to such political correntness that this type of horn is deemed ridiculous?

I rather like the idea.
