Looking for an easier way to wax wheels
Hey guys. Haven't been around here much but just bought a new 335d with the sport package 18s and I need to wax my wheels. I know from my previous M3 and 335i they are a pain in the arse to was. I find the brake dust cleans off much easier if I keep them waxed.
Are there any spray on wax products I can use that work or do I just need to bite the bullet and take the time? Thanks. |

Well I'm not going to sit here and say this is the way to do it, but it is my ritual that works for me. Every time I wash my car, I clean the wheels also and while drying, I use Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax on all body and wheel surfaces. I'm not sure how much help it is in keeping the wheels clean, but I don't have a lot of buildup just before washing.

In the next few weeks, I'm going to take off my wheels and clean the gunk inside of the barrel. A long road trip allowed for quite a bit of grime to build up in the barrel.
I think I'm just going to use some Menzerna Power Lock, applied by hand, once I get the wheels squeaky-clean. Good idea, or no? |

If you opticoat them you wont have to worry about reapplying anything to them for quite sometime.... If your already taking the wheels off to clean them and the suspension, wheel wells, etc.. might as well go for it
