Who else has a car on the Elektra? First DCT cars head to the US

Finally after a long wait, my car is headed home to the US on the Elektra.

Congrats, weird thing is that nothing shows up for me when i put in my VIN for vehicle tracking...since im between you and Pasta I can assume im on Elektra. Also OC still says Scheduled for Production instead of In Route.

There's a chance it just hasn't updated. Pasta's doesn't reflect on the WW site either. You need to call your CA and check for sure.

Hmmm .. thats a bit odd, because at the very least it should say "awaiting transport" on OC.

My car went onto the boat on Sunday. The Telephone tracking says "in transit" ... OC still says "awaiting transport". I expect OC to change to "in transit" tomorrow as it typically 3 days behind.

My car is heading to South Carolina so I'm not on the Elektra. I just received an e-mail from my SA stating that I'm on a vessel called the Ingolstadt and it is scheduled to dock in SC on March 28th. I have no idea what shipping line this is - it is not a Wallenius ship. My VIN is 40475.

More information. The Ingolstadt (voyage 140) is a KLine ship (http://www.kline.com) and it is expected to arrive in Charleston on the 29th, not the 28th. Doesn't look like it can be tracked, but the port of Charleston has a page that shows when ships are expected (http://www.port-of-charleston.com/vessel_schedule.asp).

Theoretically, can it be possible that my car is not on the Elektra and still waiting for a ship? Even though Skierman's VIN is 40466, mine is 40467 and Pasta's is 40474. Im sure we all completed at the same time and left together...I called my dealer today but my SA was not in...this is driving me crazy.

I feel ya bro. People immediately before me and after me in production have gotten on ships. My CA last checked for me on Sat morning so it may have been possible for me to get a ship since then. I don't want to keep bugging him but I'm about to send another email.

I finally made it. Got the email about 30min ago. I'm on the Ingolstadt as well!

My OC just changed to awaiting transport...great, more confusion...is it at the port waiting or on a ship because OC is delayed....

I'd say that's very plausible. VINs are probably assigned in sequential order as the orders are received. However, due to differences in configuration and other factors the cars won't necessarily complete in the same order. If you think about it, it makes sense, since its highly unlikely that the factory can run at maximum efficiency by simply producing orders as they come in. Things get grouped based on commonality I'm sure, and also parts availability plays a roll as well.

Probably all completed within a day of each other. But that still leaves a chance for them to be on different ships.

This sucks, my SA is on vacation until the 24th and i couldnt get hold of the sales manager. I keep putting in my VIN on the w&w site and get nothing...1800# just tells me my car is waiting at the port for a vessel. This doesn't sound good...

I'd be going nuts if I we're in your shoes. How far away is your dealer, it may be worth the drive to talk to the sales manager. If not, call him every 5 minutes until he answers the phone and answers your questions.

The dealrship is about to make some serious dough off you, they need to provide the appropriate service.

The dealer is about a 30min drive...I left a message on his machine telling him the info i want and to give me a call back. So far its been 1 hour and no response, and i called back earlier and no one picked up. If he doesn't get back to me today ill drop by tomorrow and handle this in person.

I just want to know where my car is, even if its not on the ship ill rest easy knowing the current status.

Im assuming right now my car is still at Bremerhaven since 1800# says its waiting for a vessel and I get nothing when i try to track on the W&W site.

The 800 # and OC was stating Awaiting transport until today, I called my CA once I saw this and he told me that the car is expected in South Carolina on 3/29 which means it left on the Integrity on the 10th so it took 10 days for the 800 # and OC to update.

Just speak with anyone in sales ... any of them can do a vehicle inquiry for you ...

Ok i did that...bad news. Car finished on the 15th, its not on a ship yet.

Why the hell did they keep saying it was going to be finished on the 7th? And when i called on the 7th the person said it just finished quality and check!? This is fishy...maybe something went wrong during production?
