Got a 2009 m6 engine with 22,900 miles on it

I guess that would depend on what one was looking for. If one is looking at possible FI in the future, I'd beg to differ. I expect that at some point and time, someone will come out with a package for that engine that will be good for 1k hp. Hopefully sooner rather than later *lol*

Please do a full thread for us to follow along with. Even though i belive i will be going twin turbo i still want to see what is involved. Mainly concerned about wiring and to see if the factory system can be used with no warning lights

Your cars is going to be Bad as Hell, It seems like one of these Vendors would make a S65 to S85 Swap Kit.
DId you get that engine from that guy in Michigan?

I think this is an awesome project! However, won't the additional weight of the motor affect the car's overall balance? Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Yes i did get it from Troy in Michigan. He was well known on the m5board so talked to him asked him a few questions. He knows what I need and was very helpful.

yes it will affect the balance, but it is only 32 kg difference. not too much for a v10

I may be alone on this but I think the S85 is one of the best, if the the best, sounding V10 on the planet!

This sounds awesome! I just picked up my M3 couple weeks ago, so i might be happy with the car for couple years.
However, this setup sounds like the ultimate one (i don't mean s/c set up or bore-up set ups are bad, but V10 is just awfully cool in E92 M3 in my perspective). Maybe you can create a thread that will walk through project details for prospective swappers.
