In an ideal world, that is true with everything.

Number of cars? N+1

Hard to find one item that fulfills many wants/needs

Given a limited budget, I would rather have 1 nice bike than multiple average bikes.

Unlimited budget? Top of the line bike for every aspect of riding.

Agreed!

Absolutely loving the Pinarello by the way. And the Yeti too, but you knew that.

Oh, phone. For me it's N /. Only need the one. But everything else + 1 please. Especially cookies.

Multiple bikes. Multiple cars. Why?
You don't go golfing with just 1 club do you?
Each has it's reason and application.

As for multiple cookies...DUH! The more the merrier.

You won't regret it.. They're so much fun and I'm a roadie too.

RE favorite bikes: I've had a bunch, but I've loved both of my S-works Tarmacs. They've been great.

I'm slowly getting turned on to steel, picked up an All City SS CX bike for a city cruiser and that's been a blast too. So now I'm in the middle of building up an All City Macho man 853 CX bike with a 1x. Looking forward to that one.

Very nice. What do you think of the latest fox suspension? I've got a 2017 factory 34 sat in a box waiting to go on the bike. Need to get a matching shock at some point

I've got an old Ironhorse XC MTB, but I can't think of the name. It has a unique hardtail design that I've always liked (keeping the top tube lower).

Not my pic but...

I love it. I was amazed at how obvious the changes to suspension settings were. I've never had a suspension where making adjustments were perceivable. When you open these up, they feel like moto-x suspension. Soft, controlled, supportive, etc... When you lock them out, it's like riding a hard tail with a solid fork.

Found my bike with an actual value! Mine is polished, not that ugly yellow.

Worthless now, but in my heart.

Good to hear, Can't wait to get mine fitted. I was hoping to get a new set of wheels at the same time but my gears were in need of some tlc so I've just ordered an XT M8000 groupset with a one-up oval chainring.

finally took the Yeti out on some worthy trails. Hit Carter Rd this morning which is an old query that's been flooded and has some cool trails that go out and back on the some fingers that extend into the flooded area. Other trail sections are good to, but the fingers are more of a challenge. Steep ups and downs, lots of roots, rocks, etc... Bike handled it all like a champ. So many obstacles that looked like they were going to be impassable were passed, climbed, jumped with ease. Was so much fun to have a capable trail bike with a reasonable amount of travel that is under 26 pounds. Was a blast to throw around.

I am about to buy a new Giant or a Specialized Crosstrail

Yeah Trek did that with Gary Fisher too.

Kept some of his names, but killed the brand.

Picked up a gimbal and dusted off the go pro. (hero3 lol)

First time with gimbal strapped to chest, first time on this trail. This is Ridgeline at Balm Boyette here in FL.

Tried my hand at some editing for the first time. Got the video posted above down to 2 min long by just showing clips of the named features on this trail.

Wow, are the trees really that close? Looked like you were going to smash your elbows in a few places.

Amazingly smooth video considering the thing is attached to your chest. Pretty impressive.

Yes, some of them are really tight. Some of them you have to kind of weave one side of the bars though at a time.

Visited Ocala (about 1h15m north of me) this weekend. Had a blast, looking forward to going back. Video is kind of long, but has more interesting stuff in it and touches on a lot of what the park has to offer. Marginally interesting of course. lol

Couldn't pay me enough to try that. It's very cool to watch, but I'm absolutely certain I'd die before the 3rd turn. Some tree would jump out and eat my ass.

All my roadie friends are telling me how i'm crazy for riding around trees like that. I've been responding with, you know what i've never seen a tree do? Pass me doing 60 while texting.

Trees are predictable.

My old school toy. Too bad Klein is gone. A lot of great ideas came from Gary Klein and team.

Niner WFO9 built to handle my 285lb ass beating on it! I have a fox 36 180 reduced and modded for the 29er wheel. Had it done long before they actually came out with the new 36 for the 29. Love my beast
