How have your tastes in color combinations changed?
I was once on the market exclusively for an Alpine White/ Fox Red e9x M3. Now it just seems so ostentatious. I'm kind of glad that my search has taken so long because now I'm leaning towards something more conservative, such as Jerez Black on Grey. I also like Melbourne Red on Bamboo. Then it would be Interlagos Blue on Bamboo. Have your tastes shifted towards more conservative combinations, or louder ones?

My second choice was MR when I ordered mine. If I was going to buy another one today, I might go with that but then again maybe not. I don't think my taste has changed at all thus far.

I have SSII with black, but I do like SSII with FR, Spark Gray or Space Gray w/FR, and Fire Orange with black.
If I buy again, I'd rather stick with SSII though, but FR is starting to grow on me |

I have had 4 e92M3 and countless other BMW's and I have always had white or black in color. My current one I decided to switch it up and went with indiv color of Monte Carlo Blue and I am in love! I am going to try and get something different each time from this point on.

Never thought I'd go for a lighter color interior, but I really like the silver interior on my SSII. It's got just enough of a tone/hue to make it unique and pleasing. It's extended leather with the aluminum trim; just gives the cabin of my car a more special feeling than if it was all black (I'm sure the Fox Red owners feel the same way).
Also love SSII. So much more character than every other silver car on the road. Does have a slight blue tint, but it never looks as blue as some of the pictures you'll see here. M-exclusive is also nice. And since mine is an '08, it makes the white part of the tail lights less of an eyesore, compared with a darker color... If I was ordering a car today, I'd probably go with one of the blues. The pictures I've seen of Atlantis Blue are amazing... Monte Carlo and Laguna Seca are also great. Not sure which interior color I'd pair with each of these, but no "superman" for me.

I love the MR... if i can go back and if i can pick my choice it would probably AW.. but to be honest... I am very happy that i had no choice... LOVE MY MR and glad that i got the MR... just FYI the MR looks so different in person I get props everywhere i go. the red is just different i guess.

But man the two or three I've seen on the road over the years with the sun beating down on it, just wow. That color really comes to life and is super bright and rich looking. I'd love to find a used M3 later down the road in life (in a 328 now space gray and cream) and I would have a tough time deciding between an AW/FR or MR/Bamboo. Depends on when I am looking and the deals I find I guess. I really like my space gray but when I make the jump to the M3 I don't think I want it to look too similar. |

Mine has always been:
IB/Black Black/Fox Red That will never change, I suspect.

No change in taste here.
I like a lot of the exterior colors on this car, but as for interior I would never buy anything other than Fox Red with extended leather on this car. |

Fox Red and White looks a lot better than the damn superman combo.
Next M3 I pick up will be a Melbourne Red / Black F80 Sedan. The renders are lookin' mighty fine. |

I went with a Sparkling Graphite/Black Novillo/Sycamore E90 and loved it. If I were to get a coupe, it would be a Space Gray/Extended Black car with the CF roof. My F30 is black/black with red accents from the Sport Line so I'm still really boring and conservative with my color choice.
If I wanted to be bold I would get a Le Mans E92. I've never been a fan of red, yellow, or green on cars. Even if I bought a Ferrari it would Grigio Silverstone over Cucio. |

Mine have been the same since my first car. I like medium tone exterior colors, that way the subtle design elements on the car are shown more easily. Dark and light colors (JB, AW) tend to hide body lines.
As for interior colors, my priority for them is to compliment the exterior color. On my Space Gray E92, I thought a red interior set off the exterior brilliantly. Same goes for beige on Monte Carlo Blue. |

Wanted MR/ beige or black since the car was launched in 08. Still one of my favorite colors for the E9x M3.
Then a 1 owner Sparkling Graphite/Bamboo Beige/CF Leather showed up on my Autotrader alert email. Fell in love with it instantly, put a deposit down less than 48 hours later. It's rare enough to see Sparkling Graphite (which is absolutely mind blowing on a sunny day like today... the amount of flakes in that paint is awesome), but to see one with such a unique color combo made it impossible for me to not go for that car. What's funny is that in the brochure, BMW doesn't recommend this combo. Oh and CF roof was an absolute must for me, making my M3 purchase even harder too. This car just ticked all the requirements. To this day, I have yet to see a Sgraph with B.Beige.

When I was looking for my M3 I wanted any color but white. My MR popped up with the option I wanted and the price was right so I jumped on it.
My fav color overall though is LMB. |

I wanted alpine white badly since the e46 M3, but now it seems like EVERYONE has alpine white on the e9x.
I ended up getting MR w/ bamboo beige and love the contrast, and you hardly see any around (even on this forum) |

Still love my SSII/Grey. Wish I had gone black for interior tho. SG and AW are the only other exterior colors I would consider at this point.
