Easiest way to get a full sw update done?
Hi,
Just picked up a 06/2009 E90 M3 yesterday with 12k miles on the clock. It hasn't had any updates done, which I'd of course like to do. The car was bought about 400 miles from here, so my regular local dealer hasn't seen it yet. So I can do one of two things: 1) Contact my local dealer and set up an appointment to get it updated. This will cost me money. 2) Since there's 12 months of full BMW warranty on it, if I have a suitable set of problems to justify an update done under warranty, then I can get it done for free. Needless to say, I'm aiming for option 2. So my question is, what are some well known issues that are fixed with later software updates - ones that I can use to justify getting an update done from the dealer? |
