VMR V710 question
I am about to purchase some new wheels this weekend and have a tough time deciding what to go with. I am in LOVE with the HRE P40 monoblocks but cannot justify in paying $5k plus right now. I have beein looking at the v710's and noticed how familiar they are to the P40's. My question is other than quality, what are the differences appearance wise between the p40 and v710 wheels. I can't tell the difference so maybe I can get some help. I am still leaning towards HRE's but not sure. Thanks in advance.

I think the HRE's r more concaved and there are other differences like the center caps being flush on the HRE's and not on the VMR's giving them an even more concaved look. Then of course there is the build quality, dont think theres much more to say. HRE is a high quality forged wheel wherehas the other is a nice cast wheel.

The weight of the 2 might be slightly different, with the HRE's being lighter. You can also get the HRE's on a bit wider rear, and they probably have a more aggressive offset. I would go with the VMR's though. The price of them is unbeatable. The price difference really outweighs the other differences to me.

I had a set of VMR CSL wheels and the paint on a front wheel bulged and cracked after two weeks. Also there were problems with balancing my front wheels (could be tires)... After shipping back my fronts VMR sent me a pair with the wrong offset. That's when I decided to return everything. In total I wasted about $400 on mount/balance...
VMR's customer service is very decent though, as they paid for shipping back and forth. But my question is: why not get it right the first time? There is an entire thread-full of complaints against VMR: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=111309 |

I like the 710's and those are what I shall get for my E90,when I order it, I want them in matte black though. Does anyone know how much something like that would run if I ordered the silver and had them painted matte black??

Is that grey car with the VMR V710 wheels lowered or is that stock height? The car is beautiful. The red calipers really add a nice touch as well. I'm selling my JCW mini and thats along the lines of how I want my future M3 to look. Well done!
