Seems the only thing that will stop this is to keep my arm on it. Anyone have any tips or fixes besides keeping my arm, my wife's arm, or turning up the radio to keep this thing from rattling?

Thanks!

Mine used to rattle or make a clicking sound everytime I set my elbow on it. After complaining the dealer replaced the whole arm rest. Noise went away but comes back now and then. Not as bad as it was before but better. This car and goddam rattles

Can't disagree there. Thanks for the reply.

Looks like I will keep the volume on the radio up to 11.

I keep armrest in open(up) position as it makes shifting MT easier. It will rattle in this position when I go over bumps, but not usually in the down position. It's never bothered me that much so I haven't bothered exploring fixes.

I'm starting to think it may be a tire (or balancing issue).

I recently put new PSS' on and I'm noticing that between 35 and 45 mph the console will rattle bad. Once I get going faster, it goes away.

I don't feel any vibration in the steering wheel but at the speeds I mentioned I can tell there is a definite shake all around.

If front wheel(s) aren't balanced you'll feel vibration through the steering wheel. Unbalanced rear wheel(s) will vibrate through the body and/or drivetrain (trans shifter). What you're describing sounds like it may be an unbalanced rear wheel.

That is exactly what it feels like and it seems to be getting worse as well. I will be taking it back tomorrow to have it checked.

Thank you very much for the tips.
