Just a reminder: He was referring to the non-ZCP M3, as he thinks ZCP actually makes the car worse!

Lets judge his entire comment, not just the little snippet that some people may agree with...

If Jesus Christ says this car is the best, who are we to judge?

OP made no reference to ZCP.

Besides...the things he asserted made it worse...you don't have to use if you don't want to. So is it really "worse" if you're not using them? Or is it the same?
To my knowledge there's no improvement or decline in performance (I don't care what anybody says about comparing 1 driven by old Stig and 1 driven by new Stig on a wet tracks times).

The car kicks ass. ZCP or no. 6MT or DCT.

OP is asking us to judge Clarkson's opinion on the M3, but he is taking it out of context. In this case, the context is relevant, IMO.

Clarkson did say the non-ZCP M3 is the best and he was actually quite critical of the ZCP. Even if you do not use the ZCP setting, you are paying extra for it, so why buy it if you are not going to use it?!!

And, yes I agree this has been discussed ad nauseam, but I was not the one who brought it up...

PS. I am not saying I agree with Clarkson as I have not driven a ZCP yet, but he is mostly on the money in his reviews...

He was on the money with the old X3. I drove one as a loaner and it was rubbish...

I'll take my lower ride height and awesome wheels and improved DSC mode - The fact that I'm paying for a button I'll hardly ever use is a moot point. JC is just having a bitch.

Was such a great segment though I've watched it multiple times for humour value!

Your comment made it occur to me that Jeremery Clarkson and Jesus Christ have the same initials. Creepy!

BTW, OP, this isn't a programming exercise, no need to backslash-escape the quotes.

Because, as with many features on the vehicle, you use them to suit the situation you're in.
He had the auto start/stop on while on the track...and then spun the car out just so he could complain about it. A feature designed for fuel economy...commuting...stop and go...type situation. On a track? Plus, the feature isn't even specific to the ZCP package. Which I might add, neither is the Frozen Grey paint that he harped about...yet, even though he didn't say it was part of the package, lumped them together.

He complained about, and only mentioned, the Sport setting of the EDC, yet I've found it's a very similar feel to that of my E46 M. He doesn't even mention the other 2 settings. Which, I hate to admit, have grown to like the Comfort setting in and around town.

Then there's the lower ride height and 359M wheels. These 2 things alone are worth the price of the package to many.

His reviews are entertaining...I'm not so sure about "on the money".

All that everyone needs to understand. It's a fun show to watch, and it does make some good points every once in a while, but it is an entertainment show first and a car show second.

Okay, that's one of the dumbest comments I've ever read. There's a reason the button is there, if you're not going to use it, why buy it? It's like having a 9-inch dick and being a virgin. If you're not going to use it, why have it?
