Night Mode in Nav Display

So I was monkeying with some settings in the idrive, and came across a "night mode" for the nav display. Naturally, I turned it on to see what it looked like. Its alright - mostly grey and blue. When I tried to disable it, the colors did not change back to the previous brighter coloring. I have tried setting it back several times since and no luck.

My question is twofold - does anyone know how to go back to normal "day time" colors, and is there a way to get it to switch automatically when the headlights engage?

You probably also turned on Traffic Maps, which overrides night mode.
