What Front Bumper is this??
Guys,
Need your help please. Came across This Thread in the pictures forum. What I saw took me by surprise. My first thoughts was that this was the RD sport Corsa front bumper. But take a closer look - the bumper looks like it has Front PDC holes in it !!! I've never seen that before on an aftermarket bumper. Does anyone know what bumper this is? -esquire

Yep, it's the RDSport one. There are two versions, if I'm not mistaken. The one pictured is the less aggressive one with slightly smaller "mouth" openings in the front.

Right, they offer their Corsa and Stradale bumpers. The main difference is the center channel opening.

Definitely the RD Sport bumpers pictured.
PDC can be easily retrofitted to either the OEM or RD Sport bumper.

I think it's mostly because it takes both a good body shop and several hours of their labor to adjust the clips so that the fitment is right. Add that on top of an already expensive piece and it's a pricey cosmetic mod.

Cause it kills the nice lines of the car. Nothing on it is in keeping with the rest of the cars look. You have nice clean lines and then this drooping mouth up front.

Here's a quick photoshop of the RD bumper on DY:
The parts chosen (aero or performance) should compliment what your M3 is already offering and not replacing, thus distracting and creating a look created from impulse decisions. Parts should not be screaming for attention. Proper parts choices allow the M3 to be seen as a whole, which takes time and careful planning to achieve. On this specific project, my vote would be to stick with a OEM Euro bumper in order to remove the reflectors, with PDC option and ultimately giving respect to the design BMW has given us. Most times less = more.

Tom,
Thanks for the photoshop. Looks more like Phoenix yellow than Dakar though. can you guys Photoshop one of the pictures in my first post ? About the project, I'm not going for a purely oem look. Mind you, im putting a vorsteiner bootlid on the trunk. Even if I did go with the euro front, I'd put a lip on it, which would be a deviation from OEM. and if I go with the rd sport front bumper, id be deviating from OEM as well - I'm okay with that. In fact I prefer it. I do happen to think that the rd sport stradale front bumper complements the OEM lines quite nicely though , but in slightly more exaggerated terms. The question for me isnt whether I'll be deviating from OEM, but rather HOW I'll be deviating from OEM
