How to transfer BMW Assist to new owner?

I recently purchased a used (1 month old, 500 miles) ME 2010. It has BMW Assist. How do I get that system transferred to me? Do I have to go to a dealer or can I do this online or by phone?

Funny. At first I thought your comments on calling ASSIST was sort of like giving someone a DVD to explain how to connect their DVD player to their TV. Think about it.

But sure enough, I was able to use the ASSIST system in the car to call ASSIST, and they gave the procedure. I have to go down to the dealer and sign a form, then they transfer to me.

Thanks!

They are a very helpful crew for a lot of things that at first are not that obvious...
