Speaker upgrade question??

Hey guys was wondering if this a good set of speakers to upgrade on my car:

I did not want anything crazy and feel this is a nice upgrade for me. Anyone have experience with these?? Also anyone willing to help with the installation?? I can compensate for the time/help.

Depends on what system you have stock. Best upgrade is normally just a sub and amp setup.

I have the standard speaker package.

I would still just do a sub, box, amp and Technic's harness and go from there.

from what i've read on this forum, the bsw upgrade is a significant improvement over stock, however, the bsw (rainbow) speakers are supposedly built specifically to be paired with the factory amp...so if you ever plan on upgrading your amp (via technic's harness or otherwise), the bsw speakers are not a good choice...

i did the bsw speaker upgrade in my e36 m3 and was relatively pleased, especially initially...that said, i can def see a scenario where i would have wanted to take the next step, which is why i haven't pulled the trigger on the bsw set for my current e90...

not sure i understand this advice...when you "sub" and "box" are you talking about two different things?...also, i'm no expert, but i can't imagine running the stock speakers with an aftermarket amp would sound that great...

I currently have stock tweeters and speakers with a JL 13W7 and an HD 1200/1 Amp. It actually sounds amazing and wouldn't mind showing you in person if your around Northern Virginia

Logic 7 speakers sound good
Did you replace the HIFI with logic 7?

I say sub and box separately so as not to confuse with the stock "subs". And yes, you can run the stock speakers with aftermarket amps. It should sound better actually if you use the right amount of amps.

Actually no, when I got the car it ended up having the Logic 7 in it. . I lucked out haha

As far as I know
You can't have an M3 in the US with logic 7
It's either standard HIFI or the enhanced premium sound
Which is the top of the line audio system

Yes I did install my sub
And I'm thinking if selling it and getting something smaller

I had the enhanced premium sound system before I traded and got the E60, which is my current set up -- Logic 7 with a 13W7
