Is there some kind of sticker over the top cover that gets removed or torn when you go to replace the lights? I heard somewhere on here there was but no one has mentioned it.

Got mine installed yesterday, and they look great!

The install is a pain unless you have child-sized hands, but overall definitely worth it.

No there wasnt on mine.

This project is easy if you mentally prepare and read what others had to do to install...but if you go in blindly thinking you will just unplug old and plug new bulb in without any issues, than thats where the probs arise.

Posted this tip over a year ago, only used a grease pencil.

struggled with my install but got them in last night with the help of a friend with smaller hands. one of the rubber grommets came off while installing so had to put some electrical tape on it. there was only 1 small dab of glue holding it on.

overall very satisfied. gives the car the look of the angel eyes on the new 5er.

BTW, Do you all sell the bulbs for the headlights? Thinking about going to a 6000/6500K. Thanks!

There is an old picture taken by another company that is a very bad and misleading picture. I dont know if there are any current pictures, but the LUX h8 V3 will be at least 30% brighter then the AIB's ( and less $$)

Information regarding high temperature days

The LUX H8 V3 power supply has been specially designed to incorporate a temperature sensor. On very hot days the inside of the headlight compartment may reach very high temperatures, and the LUX power supply has been designed to turn off if the temperature reaches 100 degrees Celsius. This thermal cutoff is designed to protect the LUX and prevent damages to occur due to heat.

same brightness, but the LUX H8 V3 power supply allows for all of the wiring to be hidden inside the headlight compartment and also there is no radio interferecne
