I've got no idea. I've flipped flopped every day for the past 2-3 weeks haha. I've decided to just wait it out a couple of years (and keep the cars as they are for now) and see how things play out. Could be M2, M3, 997 Turbo, 535iT E61, X5M... I'm all over the place

I take most of my scenic roads trips on a bike - still need to take the E92 on a nice trip since I got it a couple months back.
East coast US, I love southern VA, western NC, and the parts of Tennessee that I've explored so far. West Virginia used to be on my list of best places to ride/drive, but that really changed after some recent trips I've taken. The start of Blue Ridge Parkway in VA is great - most twisty than other parts I've ridden/driven into NC. Though the views of Blue Ridge Parkway throughout are awesome. I didn't see one cop on Blue Ridge Parkway in late May when I road it from the start in VA down deep into NC. Skyline drive starting in Front Royal is a popular route out of DC area - its a nice ride - though is a 'toll' road. I'd reco doing it on a weekday / Friday if possible, especially in Fall - as the road gets packed with minivans and families. Watch for cops and the speed limit. Southern VA has a lot to offer for fun roads, RT 250 into WV is a fun and scenic road. RT 16 (back of the dragon) is a tight turning road for a car, but the views and road turns are fun. The Snake (RT 421) in TN into Bristol is a great and popular road to check out too. In terms of the West Coast I can't personally speak much outside of Colorado (though I've got a bunch of routes and places on my hit list) - but man, CO offers some of the most awesome rides I've done in the states. I recently did a route through Pikes Peak, Mt Evans, and Rocky Mountain National Park. Folks that live out that way are so lucky - I'm jealous! Blue Ridge Parkway (BRP) in VA Rt 16 in VA (Back of the Dragon) Trip through Seneca Rocks in VA Pikes Peak in CO Southern Germany, Austria, and Northern Italian in areas like the Dolomites are probably some of the most amazing roads and scenery out there to see. Stelvio (IT) Passo di Giau (IT) Gross Glockner (Austria)

Just did 2000 miles -- Phoenix to Sonoma, then down the California coast on Hwy 1 to Santa Barbara, with a diversion to Paso Robles -- and have to say the stretch of road between Carmel and Cambria is among the most beautiful I've ever driven.
Will be posting more shots in a separate thread soon. |
