SERIOUSLY! LOL.

Nah just kidding, there's always a bad apple who ruins it for the bunch.
But I've seen way too many white corvettes with bad drivers. Those guys can't even drive a car straight.

damn!! SON OF A BITCH

that car was making some serious HP to completely loose traction like that at what I have to guess was 60-70mph.

sucks for both of the cars involved.

After watching these videos, I seriously feel that people who drive cars with above average horsepower (400+?) should be required to obtain another level of operating license.

I agree honestly......BUT thats a choice you make/take when you purchase or build something w that power.

what is scary is that most of the people in this thread or on this board have never driven a really powerful car....they think they have since their 335's have turbo's the size of your nuts, but i'm talking about a REALLY powerful car.

go try a mod'd Viper or cam/head/headers/etc vette w out traction control on and report back.

things get interesting really quick when all of a sudden traction completely goes away at 80mph in a straight line.

You have to retrain your right foot and the space between your ears.

Is anyone surprised? Flooring a 430 HP RWD car from a 15mph roll?

I'm laughing out loud. And to those saying that the Vette or Vipers are too tail happy, that's only a direct result of driver skill or the lack thereof. We have no problem getting our ZR1 to hook and stay in a straight line at WOT.

I disagree, I still don't understand how these people lose it in straight lines. it's no more difficult then the basic performance driving skills with lower powered cars. IE if you can kick the tail out predictably and controllable you should be able to handle a high horse car in a straight line with no problem. no retraining,

I think these people somehow ended up in these powerful cars without even basic driving skills and are not prepared for their cars even in a straight line.

I have one of those cars that doesn't have any traction at 80 if you hammer it, and It didn't take any getting used to losing traction at 80, it's just like going around a corner or spinning in a lower gear, you just have to be more delicate and responsive.

Also corvettes and vipers with headers and cams don't have the power to lose traction in straight lines at 80mph unless maybe they have really crappy tires or something.

I say it's likely they don't know how to react once the traction breaks. Staying in control is easier than regaining it.

Type of guy that needs a clutch every 50 000KM in a daily driver. My goodness poor Viper.

what i'm getting at is people who have no business driving high HP cars are far from used to a car that spins hard at 60-80mph+.....a little steering input and all of a sudden the rear end will hang out even in a straight line and now they are really screwed.

and yes, ive been in a cam/header Z06 that would spin hard at 80mph......dont know what tire setup he was using.

With crappy tires anything can break loose at 80, they need to man up, you shouldn't be breaking loose with less then 600whp.
