Spring Cleaning

I received Opti-Coat 2.0 Permanent Paint Coating the other day and decided to do a detail and test out the paint coating, its been on the car for about 24hrs + now but its not as smooth as sealant or wax but dang it beading water like no other product i use to date.

stuff i use:
CG Citrus Wash & Gloss (6-8oz) to strip off all wax/sealant
Iron X (Boy it stinks)
Clay
Rewash w/ CG Citrus Wash & Gloss (6-8oz)
Meguiar m105 w/Orange Pad
Meguiar m205 w/White Pad
Menzerna SF 4500 (PO85RD) w/Black pad (CF Roof ONLY)
IPA wipe down to get rid of all oil from the polish
Opti-Coat 2.0

Next week planning on coating my wheels and cleaning my engine bay, more picture coming since i only look a couple pictures.

My setup for the night

Iron X doing its job

Prep then called it a night

Opti-Coat 2.0 doing what it does best

Great job! Might need to try opti-coat out. That's some crazy beading

I've had Opti Coat on my car for 4 months now. Still beads nicely. It has a slight tacky feel. Stuff comes off nicely though with a power washer.

Hopefully should last a couple years at least.

yeah that's the only thing i don't like about Opti-coat its not as smooth as wax or sealant, has a difference feel to it. I might layer wax on top of it after the 30day cure period just for the feel.

The Iron-X works sweet. These cars sure pick up a lot of stuff on the rear bumper/trunk area.

I've read that layering a wax on top of Opticoat won't make it as good as repelling grime and crap.

Why are you touching your paint anyway?
