Exhaust mod aka muffler delete shops in LA

Hey guys, I have searched the entire forum prior to creating this thread but didn't find any information I was looking for.

Anyway, I would like to do this mod myself but besides not having access to required tools, I don't feel comfortable doing it. So if you know any shop that perform the above modification for under 300, please let me know. Thanks

Less than $300 for a OEM exhaust modification is going to be a tough one.

Unfortunately, this is a service we do not offer any longer.

Thanks. I found shop in Glendale thats willing to try to performthe modification for $250. I might stop by today after work.

Post something and let people know how it turns out. Thx... maybe ask these guys if they mind you adding their info to your thread too. Lots of people ask this same question but it never really seems to be asnwered completely based upon region. I'd like to find a reputable shop that is willing to do it, is local, and has done it before.

Seriously, unless you already know they do good custom work, I would keep looking.

Haha, I would do it myself if I had welding equipment. The job looks super easy if you have the tools and a shop and are somewhat technically inclined. And if I didn't have an extra exhaust I probably wouldn't take the chance. I hear ya though... Point well taken...

Call up Speedway Muffler in Rowland Heights.. I inquired them about it few months back and they were willing to do it. I had them do a custom exhaust for my E55 few years ago and they are a highly reputable and old shop. Didn't get a quote though since they needed to see a diagram first before quoting me.

pm member m3heaven...i think he had his done in a shop in la canada..could be wrong, but i know he had a shop do it for sure

Try King Muffler in Van Nuys (just down the street from Gintani). They did some recent rewelding work on my Remus exhaust and I found out they also do the OEM mod for the $300 range. If you go this route, make sure Frank does the work - I found quite a few positive reviews about him and had him work on my car (the other guy they had on staff seems like he has much less experience-didn't even know how to drive DCT).
